Utah edges Thunder in overtime
Barry Almeida’s goal two minutes into overtime gave Utah a 3-2 win over the Thunder on Saturday night in West Valley City, Utah.
Wichita took a 1-0 lead late in the first period when Kenton Miller scored a shorthanded goal. The Grizzlies pulled even midway through the second period. Wichita retook the lead when Landon Oslanski scored a power-play goal at 15:53, but the Grizzlies tied the score 2-2 less than three minutes later.
After a scoreless third period, the Grizzlies ended the game on the first shot of overtime.
Thunder goalie Grant Rollheiser made 35 saves.
