Colorado beats Thunder 2-1

The Thunder defense returned to form Wednesday, but the offense continued to struggle in a 2-1 loss to Colorado on Wednesday night in Loveland, Colo.

A night after allowing seven goals to Rapid City, the Thunder limited Colorado to single goals in the first and second periods. Grant Rollheiser finished with 31 saves.

The Thunder’s goal came from Kenton Miller at 7:02 of the third period. The Thunder had two power-play chances later in the third, but couldn’t get ghe tying goal. Wichita managed just seven shots in the final 20 minutes.

The one-goal game was the 15th time in 16 games what Wichita has scored two or fewer goals.
