Thunder tops Allen in OT
Kenton Miller scored 51 seconds into overtime, giving the Thunder a 2-1 win over the Americans on Friday night in Allen, Texas.
Tim Boron made 26 saves for the Thunder, which has won three in a row.
Miller’s goal broke a 60-minute scoring drought for Wichita — the Thunder took a 1-0 lead when Ian Lowe scored 46 seconds into the game.
Chad Costello scored Allen’s lone goal midway through the second period.
The Thunder returns to action Sunday at home against Rapid City, the first of three conscutive home games in nine days.
