Thunder allows sevens goals in loss at Tulsa

Tulsa scored a power-play goal each period, part of a relentless attack in a 7-4 win over the Thunder on Wednesday night in Tulsa.

The Oilers started the scoring with a power-play goal by Drew Fisher at 6:01 of the first period, and led 2-1 at the period’s end.

The Thunder made it 2-2 with Danick Gauther’s man-advantage goal at 2:48 of the second, but the Oilers got two goals in a 20-second span to reclaim the lead, and were ahead 5-3 after two periods.

Wichita got with 5-4 when Mike Wilson scored his first goal of the season on the power play at 5:44 of the third period, but Adam Pleskach restored Tulsa’s two-goal edge at 10:06, then put the game out of reach with a score at 18:05.

Ian Lowe had two goals for the Thunder, and Kenton Miller had two assists.
