Mallards beat Thunder 3-1
Quad City’s Mason Baptista broke a tie with a goal midway through the third period, and the Mallards went on to beat the Thunder 3-1 on Saturday night in Moline, Ill.
Quad City took a 1-0 lead late in the first period, but the Thunder pulled even barely a minute into the second period when Nikita Kashirsky got his 16th goal of the season. That was the only goal for Wichita, which lost for the second straight night.

The Thunder road trip continues with games at Allen on Tuesday and Wednesday, after which the team will play eight of its final 11 regular-season games at home.
