Thunder aces out Alaska 5-1
Goalie Scott Greenham made 46 saves, leading the Thunder to a 5-1 win over Alaska on Friday night at Intrust Bank Arena.
Nathan Moon scored two goals for Wichita, and Alexis Loiseau got his team-leading eighth goal – a shorthanded goal early in the third period.
Moon opened the scoring at 12:04 of the the first, but the Aces responded just over two minutes later with a power-play goal and the first period ended 1-1.
Gabriel Gagne put the Thunder ahead 2-1 at 2:11 of the second, then Moon made it 3-1 just 93 seconds later with the team’s second shot of the period,
Friday’s game was the first of three games in three nights at the Arena between the two teams.
