Force football team to play in Intrust Bank Arena
The Force indoor football team will play its home games at Intrust Bank Arena under a five-year contract announced Friday.
Formerly the Wild, the two-time defending champion of the Champions Professional Indoor Football League, the Force will be the second sports team to call Intrust home after the Wichita Thunder, which has played hockey there since the arena opened in 2010.
The arena will be configured to hold about 6,000 fans for football.
The Wild played in Park City’s Hartman Arena when it was owned by Wink Hartman. The Force is owned by a group led by managing partner Marv Fisher, and the team will play in Champions Indoor Football, a merger between the CPIFL and Lone Star Football League. The season will begin in March.
