Wild’s Matt Moss named CPIFL defensive player of year

Matt Moss of the Wild was named Defensive Player of the Year by the Champions Professional Indoor Football League on Thursday.

Moss led the lead with 13 1/2 sacks and 19 1/2 tackles for loss.

The Wild plays host to Salina at 7:05 p.m. Saturday in the league championship game.

The Wild’s Rocky Hinds was a honorable-mention pick for league MVP, and coach Morris Lolar was honorable mention coach of the year.
