The Wichita Wild improved to 3-1 on the season with a 57-47 victory at Central Division foe Omaha on Monday in the Wild's first road game of the season
The Wild held the Beef to just 31 yards in the second half as the Wild outscored Omaha 28-13 after halftime.
Wichita Wild quarterback Dixie Wooten finished 17-of 23 for 153 yards.
Wooten passed for four touchdowns and rushed for four more, finishing with 56 yards on the ground to lead the Wild. All four of Wooten's touchdown passes were to Clinton Solomon.
It was the first meeting of the two teams since Wichita's playoff victory last season. Omaha's defense was giving up just 40 points per game headed into Monday's showdown.
The Wild travel to Sioux Falls, S.D., for another road game on Saturday. Sioux Falls handed Wichita its only loss of the year so far on March 14 at Wichita.
