B-52s win season finale
The Wichita B-52s won their season finale on Saturday night, defeating the Illinios Piasa 6-3 in Pontoon Beach, Ill.
Matt Clare scored two goals for Wichita as the B-52s cruised to a 5-0 lead early in the third quarter. Illinois rallied to make the score 5-3, but Valley Center native Brent Hobson put the Piasa on ice with the final goal of the game.
The B-52s finished the season on a two-game winning streak and with a final record of 7-9.
