Keegan Curtis allowed one unearned run over six inning and struck out seven in leading the Larks to a pool-play victory over Hutchinson.

Michael Burns and Mike Mioduszewski had three hits each for Hays, which scored five sixth-inning runs to take command. The Larks had 11 hits.

Dahl struck out seven, walked none and allowed eight hits. Spencer Trautmann and Tyler Wilson completed the shutout.

Northwest managed seven hits, the big one a two-run single from Jose Acosta in the second inning.
