Liberal 5, San Diego 3 — The Bee Jays scored four runs with two outs in the eighth inning.
Cale O’Donnell’s single started the scoring for Liberal in the inning, driving in Nick Brooks and moving Brady Cox to third A balk scored Cox and an error allowed O’Donnell to score for a 4-3 lead.
Jaylen Hubbard drove in Micah Green with a single to put Liberal ahead 5-3.
San Diego attempted to protest the game because of the balk call. However, because the team did not register the protest immediately after the play, the protest was disallowed.
Miller and Green both doubled for Liberal. O’Donnell went 2 for 4.
Force starter Adam Quintana struck out 10 and allowed eight hits and three earned runs in 7 2/3 innings.

Newton 11, Park City 3 — Newton’s Bowe Behymer went 2 for 4 and drove in four runs to lead a 16-hit attack that eliminated the Rangers.
Back to back doubles by Tyler Cunningham and Kyle McDonald gave Newton a 2-1 lead in the fourth. The Rebels scored two more in the fifth on Behymer’s RBI single and a fielder’s choice. Newton added five runs on four hits in the ninth, the final two scoring on a triple by Behymer.
Cunningham went 2 for 4 and drove in two runs.
Newton starter Zach Skelton struck out six and scattered seven hits over 8 2/3 innings.
