FC Wichita beats Shreveport 2-0

FC Wichita used two second-half goals to beat Shreveport 2-0 on Friday night at Stryker Complex.

The game was scoreless at halftime though FC Wichita had the better chances, outshooting the Rafter 4-1 and earning 10 corner kicks to one for Shreveport.

FC Wichita’s offense finally broke through in the 79th minute with a goal by Andres Ochoa. Leo Sosa scored in the 90th minute to secure the lead.

FC Wichita’s busiest stretch of the season continues Sunday at Stryker Complex against Dutch Lions FC. Dutch Lions beat Joplin 4-0 on Friday night and remains one point ahead of Wichita in the NPSL South Central standings. That will be followed by games at Fort Worth on Tuesday, and at first-place Tulsa on June 25.
