Novelini’s hat trick sparks FC Wichita

Felipe Novelini scored a hat trick in FC Wichita’s 5-4 victory over the Sporting Kansas City under-23 team on Tuesday in Kansas City, Kan.

Novelini’s third goal, on a penalty kick, tied at the game 4-all in the 73rd minute, then Felipe Maia scored four minutes later as FC Wichita took the lead for good in the friendly.

The game was tied 2-2 at halftime.

FC Wichita returns to National Premier Soccer League play on Saturday at the Springfield (Mo.) Demize. Its next home match is July 5 against Sporting’s U-23 team.
