A team based in Bel Aire took the lead in two U.S. Bowling Congress Championships events over the weekend in Reno, Nev.

BowersBowlingTour.com leads the Regular Team and Team All-Events divisions of the four-month tournament that ends July 11.

Team members are Brent Bowers, Zach Rhoades, Kristopher Prather, Justin Zwaschka and Mitch Hupe.

“Having first place is a dream come true,” Bowers told Bowl.com. “I’ve paid a lot of attention to this event over my young lifetime, and just taking the lead alone is a crowning achievement. I’m sure it will be a very nervous month sitting around and keeping our fingers crossed, but it is a wonderful feeling.”

No team has won both divisions the same year since 2009.
