Kansas-Oklahoma Golden Gloves boxing begins Friday at Drury Plaza hotel

The Kansas-Oklahoma Golden Gloves regional amateur boxing tournament begins at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Drury Plaza Hotel, 400 W. Douglas.

Admission is $10 each night.

Special guests scheduled for Friday night are recent Olympic qualifier Nico Hernandez of Wichita and Brandon Rios, a Kansan and former WBA lightweight champion.

The Kansas-Oklahoma region covers parts of Kansas and parts of Oklahoma.
