Thunder loses in overtime
Tulsa’s Alex Blomqvist scored the game-winning goal two minutes into overtime, lifting the Oilers to a 2-1 win over the Wichita Thunder on Sunday night in Tulsa.
Tulsa’s Adam Pleskach scored in the second period for a 1-0 lead. Erick Lizon scored Wichita’s only goal in the third period on an assist from Domenic Alberga that got past Tulsa goalie Jussi Olkinuora, who stopped 25 of 26 shots on the night.
The two teams combined to go 0 for 11 on power plays.
The Thunder returns home Tuesday night to face Quad City.
