Thunder win second straight after shootout with Evansville
The Wichita Thunder defeated the Evansville IceMen, 3-2, in a shootout on Sunday in Evansville, Ind.
Wichita’s Kenton Miller and Ian Lowe scored goals in regulation as the teams went to overtime tied 2-2. Andrew Huff and Lowe both delivered in the shootout to seal the win.
The Thunder’s David Shantz stopped 2 of 3 shots in the shootout.
Evansville went 0 for 6 on power plays.
Wichita closed out a three-game road swing with back-to-back wins. The Thunder return to action on Sunday against Tulsa at Intrust Bank Arena.
