Kansas City Chiefs sign Mansoor Delane and Peter Woods to complete rookie class

The Chiefs have signed their two first-round draft picks.

Cornerback Mansoor Delane, taken No. 6 overall, and defensive tackle Peter Woods, No. 29, each signed four-year deals Monday.

Delane’s contract is valued at $41.9 million and is fully guaranteed, as is Woods’ deal at $18 million.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport first reported Delane’s deal. YM APPA Sports agency reported the Woods contract news to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Chiefs traded up three spots with the Cleveland Browns and took Delane, who played at LSU last season, making him the first defensive back selected in the 2026 draft.

Woods, who played at Clemson, was the second defensive tackle selected.

Woods and Delane are the last of the seven-member rookie class to sign. The players have been with the Chiefs throughout organized team activities, which continue this week with mandatory minicamp.
