You never know what you might see at a sporting event, and the same can be said about the annual Met Gala.

It’s one of fashion’s biggest nights of the year, but some of the costumes are often outlandish.

Such was the case with British singer Sam Smith on Monday night in New York. He wore a costume designed by his partner, Christan Cowan, to the Met Gala, Soapcentral.com reported.

This is from that story: “Smith wore a coal adorned with over 230,000 crystals and beads, handpainted by a team of 45 artisans over 800 hours work. The look was inspired by the 1920s pioneer illustrator and designer Erte, whose work has been featured on the cover of Vogue.”

Former Titans offensive tackle Taylor Lewan, who is part of the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast, saw a video of Smith and joked that it was Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Kelce and Lewan are pals and the Chiefs star has been on the Bussin’ podcast. And Lewan and podcast co-host Will Compton crashed the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVIII news conference and asked Kelce a question.

Lewan couldn’t have predicted that so many people would believe his X post about Smith actually being Kelce and that it would go viral, but it certainly did. Most people got the joke, but some obviously didn’t, judging by these reactions.
