Taylor Swift helps NFL pal Brittany Mahomes celebrate a big birthday in Nashville
Just days after announcing her engagement to Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift ceded some of the spotlight to a fellow NFL WAG celebrating a milestone birthday.
Swift was spotted at a Nashville restaurant Friday with Brittany Mahomes and a group of gal pals as they celebrated Mahomes’ 30th birthday.
The theme was all-out Western for the Texas native, who wore silver cowboy boots for part of the celebration.
The group dined Friday at The Twelve Thirty Club, a honky-tonk and supper club co-owned by Justin Timberlake, according to social media posts by Swift fans in Nashville.
It was the second evening in a row that Swift and her fellow NFL WAG spent time together. They shared a suite at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday with their significant others for the Cincinnati Bearcats and Nebraska Cornhuskers game. Kelce played college football for the Bearcats.
Mahomes’ birthday group spent at least a couple of days together, though Swift was only seen at the restaurant and didn’t appear in any group photos.
Lyndsay Bell, wife of former Chiefs tight end Blake Bell, posted a photo of Mahomes surrounded by orange and pink balloons at the top of stairs leading into a private jet, E! reported.
The restaurant celebration had a western theme. In the only photo that shows Swift, the Eras Tour singer is sitting at a table behind one of the restaurant’s signature espresso martini towers, which cost $125.
No word on whether the group raised a glass to the bride-to-be.
Social media photos show the birthday girl was celebrated with cookies, balloons, custom cowboy hats and a sunny boat ride with her gal pals. Her birthday was Sunday.
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement on Aug. 26. The Chiefs tight end proposed in his Johnson County backyard decked out in romantic flowers said to be worth up to $38,000, including 1,200 roses and at least 1,000 other flowers, according to People.
Mahomes was one of the first celebrities to congratulate them on social media, writing, “two of the most genuine people meet and fall in love. Just so happy for these two.”
No wedding date has been announced.
