How much are the Kansas City Chiefs worth? See where all NFL teams rank
The Chiefs have plenty going for them.
They have five Super Bowl appearances and three Vince Lombardi trophies in the past six years, superstar players like Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce and a multi-episode ESPN documentary dropping Thursday.
What is all of that worth? A cool $6.53 billion, according to the latest round of NFL team valuations by Sportico, a sports business digitial content company.
That ranks the Chiefs in the NFL’s middle class at No. 16.
No. 1 is the Dallas Cowboys at 12.8 billion.
Sportico includes team-related business and real estate holdings as well as the “sum of the enterprise value of an NFL franchise,” and cites the Miami Dolphins’ 15-year deal with the F1 Miami Grand Prix at Hard Rock Stadium as part of the team’s $8.25 billion valuation.
Practice facilities also are included.
The average team is worth $7.13 billion, up 20% from a year ago. That’s the same growth as the Chiefs, who are up two spots over 2024 and rank just ahead of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers.
Earlier this year, CNBC listed the Chiefs’ owners, the Hunt family, as having the 18th most valuable sports portfolio in the world, worth $8.35 billion.
