State Farm made a good decision when it hired Chiefs coach Andy Reid to appear in commercials with quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

The first spot of Reid’s love of drawing mustaches on his players was hilarious. And he also stole the show by stealing food in the commercial filmed at the Independence Hi-Boy Drive-In.

In it, Reid takes Mahomes’ hamburger and has eyes on the “nuggies.”

Mahomes recently revealed that Reid’s food thievery wasn’t on the script.

While reading what people had to say about him on social media in a Complex video, a fan said the only good State Farm commercial is the one of Reid eating Mahomes’ food, which came out last year.

Mahomes then revealed that Reid went off-script.

“I don’t believe that,” Mahomes said. “No one told coach Reid to eat my food. He actually started just doing that on his own. So that’s probably why everybody thought it was the funniest, because it was natural. It makes my job easier if he’s the funny one.
