Kansas City Chiefs have no surprises on inactive list Sunday vs. Cincinnati Bengals
With everybody back from the reserve/COVID-19 list, the Chiefs don’t have any surprises on their inactive list for Sunday afternoon’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (shoulder), offensive lineman Kyle Long, tackle Prince Tega Wanogho, cornerback Deandre Baker and rookie quarterback Shane Buechele won’t dress for the game.
The Chiefs on Saturday ruled out Edwards-Helaire, who missed all three days of practice the past week after suffering a collarbone injury in Week 16.
Running back Jerick McKinnon, whom the Chiefs activated Saturday from the injured reserve list, is dressed for action. McKinnon provides backfield depth behind Darrel Williams, the presumptive starter, and Derrick Gore with Edwards-Helaire (shoulder) out.
The Chiefs welcome back tight end Travis Kelce, rookie linebacker Nick Bolton, rookie tackle Lucas Niang, cornerback Rashad Fenton, safety Armani Watts, kicker Harrison Butker and punter Tommy Townsend to action. The seven players didn’t play in Week 16 while in the NFL’s COVID-19 protocol.
For the Bengals, linebacker Germaine Pratt, defensive end Cam Sample, cornerback Jalen Davis, defensive tackle Tyler Shelvin, guard D’Ante Smith, running back Trayveon Williams and quarterback Jake Browning are inactive.
