Phil Dixon, an author and historian who has extensively researched African-Americans in baseball, will make a presentation about the subject at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Park City Public Library, 2107 E. 61st St. North.

Dixon will talk about Wichita’s role in African-American baseball, which included frequent visits by the Negro Leagues’ Kansas City Monarchs and appearances by Satchel Paige, who pitched in the first National Baseball Congress World Series in 1935.

Dixon has written many books on baseball and is co-founder and board member of Kansas City’s Negro League Baseball Museum.

There is no admission charge to the presentation.
