Royals general manager Dayton Moore, former Wichita State coach Gene Stephenson and former Tigers pitcher Nate Robertson highlight the induction class at Saturday’s Kansas Baseball Hall of Fame banquet at the Drury Plaza Hotel Broadview.

Moore is coming off the Royals’ first World Championship since 1985 and the club has been to back-to-back World Series. Moore was born in Wichita and played at Garden City Community College.

Stephenson resurrected the Shocker program in 1978 and coached the Shockers to 1,867 victories in 36 seasons, including seven College World Series appearances and the 1989 national championship.

Robertson pitched nine seasons in the majors (2002-10) after a standout career as a Wichita State starter.

Also to be inducted are former Wichita State All-America second baseman Billy Hall, who played 15 professional seasons; Mike Warren, who coached Barton Community College for 30 seasons before retiring in 2014; and the 1965 Rapid Transit Dreamliners, who won the National Baseball Congress World Series.

A free reception will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Wichita Sports Hall of Fame, 4700 E. Central. The banquet follows at noon at the Broadview, 400 W. Douglas. Cost is $20 per person.
