Other area games: Goddard holds off Olathe Northwest in two-OT thriller
Blake Sullivan scored on fourth-and-goal in the second overtime, then Olathe Northwest scored and couldn’t make its extra point as Goddard held on to win 27-26 on Friday night in Goddard.
Sullivan touchdown pass to Bryant Mocaby got the Lions on the scoreboard, then his 4-yard run in the fourth quarter gave Goddard the lead for good. The Lions’ defense made a goal-line stand in the fourth quarter, but Olathe Northwest tied it up with a touchdown and two-point conversion in the final two minutes.
Goddard missed a game-winning field-goal attempt in the fourth quarter.
City League
South 61, North 0 — Torian Neloms scored three first-half touchdowns, part of the host Titans’ 47-0 halftime lead. His first two scores, both in the first quarter, were from 7 yards. He added a 75-yard punt return for a touchdown in the second quarter. Tyrekus Birch blocked two punts for South.
Garden City 43, East 19 — Elijah Kelly caught a second-quarter touchdown pass for East in the Blue Aces’ road loss.
Dodge City 14, West 7 — Host Dodge City made two big first-half stops in its territory to thwart West. The Pioneers were stopped at the Dodge 5 in the first quarter, then West had a drive deep in Dodge City territory late in the first half but a pass was intercepted. West ended its shutout with a long fourth-quarter TD run.

Campus 21, Arkansas City 14 — The visiting Colts won their opener by building a 21-7 lead. Federico Harvey had two short touchdown runs and Alex Harbour added a 10-yard score.
Maize South 66, Circle 6 — The host Mavericks scored 59 first-half points en route to the victory. Maize South rushed for 390 yards, averaging 11.1 yards per carry, and got four rushing touchdowns from quarterback Ethan Richardson. He also completed 3 of 4 passes for 100 yards and two touchdowns, to Brayden Wiens and Corey Minks.
Clearwater 41, Wellington 13 — The visiting Indians scored 27 second-half points and got 203 yards and two scores from Ethan Willis.
Mulvane 52, El Dorado 28 — Visiting Mulvane scored 19 first-half points to build a lead.
Maize 49, Newton 27 — Junior quarterback Brayden Payne threw first-half touchdown passes of 34 and 32 yards while also running for a 14-yard score. He tossed a 20-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter. Daylyn Johnson also ran for a 44-yard score.
Collegiate 41, Rose Hill 6 — The visiting Rockets were within a point at halftime, but Jake Flamini, Cooper Root and Jad Hourani caught touchdown passes from Cody McNerney to help Collegiate pull away. Flamini’s catch went for 56 yards and Hourani’s went for 55. McNerney finished with four TD passes and 77 rushing yards. Juston Flowers added 36 yards and two scores.
Andover 48, Salina Central 20 — Dylan Matthew ran back an interception for a late second-quarter touchdown as the Trojans rolled at home over a Division I foe.

Conway Springs 48, Belle Plaine 8 — Colton Terhune scored Conway Springs’ first three touchdowns in a road rout of Belle Plaine. Terhune ended with four rushing touchdowns and a 55-yard touchdown strike to Joshua Dugan. Terhune rushed nine times for 80 yards.
