JULIA COTTRILL
Freshman catcher
Andover Central
Cottrill, who has made a non-binding oral commitment to play at Florida, reads batters and situations well and is an excellent on-field communicator. She had a .511 batting average, a 1.140 slugging percentage and a .939 fielding percentage. She had 38 RBIs, seven home runs, 27 runs and 35 hits.
WYLIE GLOVER
Junior outfielder
Valley Center
Glover helped lead Valley Center to a 15-8 record and a Class 5A tournament berth. She had a .488 batting average and hit .562 in AV-CTL II games. She had a .511 on-base percentage and was a consistent hitter who finished with 28 runs. She struck out four times.
LUCY HERTER
Sophomore first baseman
Northwest
Herter had a .468 batting average, a .675 on-base percentage and nine doubles. She walked 11 times and had 31 runs and 25 RBIs. She helped lead Northwest to an 18-5 record and a berth in the Class 6A tournament.
BRIANA HOGAN
Senior outfielder
Carroll
Hogan, a two-time All-Metro selection, helped lead Carroll (22-1) to the Class 5A tournament and a 77-game winning streak. She had a .672 batting average with 11 homers, 12 doubles and a 1.000 fielding percentage. She played on three state title teams.
ALLIE JURGENSEN
Senior third baseman
Maize
Jurgensen, a two-time All-Metro pick, was a strong defensive presence with a .909 fielding percentage. She had a .394 batting average with seven home runs, 11 doubles, 29 RBIS and 26 runs. She hit 22 home runs in her career and had 127 career RBIs.
ASHTYN JURGING
Sophomore pitcher
Bluestem
Jurging, a poised pitcher, helped lead Bluestem to its first Class 3A tournament berth. She had a 1.93 ERA and 142 strikeouts in 112 innings. She went 20-2 and had a .478 batting average.
LEXI LESPERANCE
Junior pitcher
Andover
Lesperance, who led Andover to its first state tournament berth, was 4 for 4 hitting, including a home run, with six RBIs in the Class 5A quarterfinal win over Carroll. Andover’s win ended the Eagles’ 77-game winning streak. Lesperance had a 1.47 ERA in the postseason with 33 strikeouts. She had a 2.16 ERA on the season with 106 strikeouts and hit .520.
CARLEY PHILLIPS
Senior outfielder
Augusta
Phillips, a two-time All-Metro selection, helped lead Augusta to the Class 4A-I tournament. In her four seasons as a starter, she helped lead the Orioles to three straight 4A-I title games and won twice. She hit .460 and had a .600 on-base percentage. She also had 26 stolen bases and 20 RBIs.
MIRANDA ROHLEDER
Senior shortstop
Goddard
Rohleder, a three-time All-Metro selection who has signed with Fresno State, started at shortstop all four seasons. She helped lead Goddard to the Class 5A tournament and a 20-3 record. She set Lions season records with 66 RBIs and 10 home runs. She also had 46 hits, 41 runs, .648 batting average and a .713 on-base percentage.
JORDAN SCHARTZ

Carroll
Schartz helped lead Carroll to a 22-1 record, a Class 5A tournament berth and a 77-game winning streak. Schartz hit .589 and had eight doubles and 43 hits. She also had seven stolen bases. At shortstop, she had a .900 fielding percentage.
TALLI SHEPHERD
Junior second baseman
Goddard
Shepherd, Goddard’s leadoff the past three seasons, is the key to the Lions’ offense. She set Goddard records with a .676 batting average, a .755 on-base percentage, 50 hits and 46 runs. Shepherd was part of five double plays.
KAYLIN WATKINS
Freshman pitcher
Carroll
Watkins was 12-0 for Carroll, which was 22-1 and had a 77-game winning streak heading into the Class 5A tournament. She had a 0.55 ERA, giving up four earned runs and striking out 50. She had a .949 fielding percentage and she hit .612 with 15 doubles and 41 hits.
KENZIE YOUNG
Senior utility
Derby
Young, a three-time All-Metro selection in softball and two-time All-Metro pick in volleyball, pitched for the first time in high school and went 5-1 with a 2.81 ERA and 21 strikeouts. A quick center fielder, she had a .556 batting average, 27 RBIs, 41 runs, a 1.042 slugging percentage.
ERNIE HAGER
Coach
Andover
Hager, in his third season at Andover, led the Trojans to their first state tournament berth and a 5A quarterfinal win over five-time 5A champion Carroll. Andover was in position to play for a 5A title, taking a one-run lead in the seventh inning of its semifinal, but the game was called due to unplayable fields and the score reverted to the sixth inning. Andover, which finished third, has played in three straight regional title games.
