District Attorney’s office to hear report involving alleged assault on football official
The Goddard police department will present its report to the Sedgwick County district attorney’s office on Monday regarding the allegation made by a football official that a Goddard player punched him in the stomach, according to Dan Dillon, the district attorney’s media spokesperson.
Official Ryan Storck filed a police report on Monday. He said the incident happened at the end of the Heights-Goddard Class 5A playoff game Friday night. Storck told police that he and other officials were trying to break up an altercation between the two teams.
Storck said that he separated the Goddard player, who then punched him as he walked back to the Goddard sideline.
Video of the game shows Storck and another official separating the player and Heights players. As the camera pans out, Storck doubles over while the player turns toward the Goddard sideline.
