Gary Cundiff resigns as Carroll boys basketball coach

Gary Cundiff has resigned as boys basketball coach at Bishop Carroll, school president Tish Nielsen confirmed Tuesday morning.

Cundiff was suspended last week, according to the Catholic Diocese of Wichita, pending the outcome of his criminal case. He is charged with felony theft and falsifying company financial statements for allegedly taking more than $26,000.

Nielsen said Mike Domnick, who was named interim coach, will be the full-time coach for Carroll, which opens its season on Dec. 2 at home against North.
