Ecuador’s World Cup manager bears striking resemblance to Jungle Law lawyer

For some Kansas Citians, you know you’re close to home when you spot a Jungle Law billboard.

The criminal justice law firm has garnered attention in Kansas and Missouri for its eye-catching jungle-based billboards and online ads of long-haired Jungle Law attorney Tristen J. Woods swinging on a vine with an assortment of jungle animals, including giraffes, rhinos and lions in the background.

The Jungle Law ads have gained even more online popularity since the World Cup games came to Kansas City.

During the 0-0 draw between Ecuador and Curaçao at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, locals noted online that Ecuador’s manager, Sebastián Beccacece, bears a striking resemblance to the local legal phenomenon.

Beccacece’s long blonde hair drew comparisons to Woods, leading to a Reddit post with a picture of Beccacece and the caption: Ecuador manager = Jungle Law guy? The post on r/kansascity gained close to 1,000 upvotes and 40 comments.

“I’ve never seen them at the same place at the same time,” one user commented, to which another replied: “No one has...”

An X (Twitter) post by former Kansas City Chiefs kicker Lawrence Tynes received thousands of views. He asked: Did Ecuador hire the Jungle Law guy to coach them while in KC?

The online commentary isn’t the end of the online attention for Jungle Law.

Kansas City locals have seen the law firm’s advertisements flying above the Kansas City skyline during the World Cup festivities, and the firm is set to participate in a roast event titled “Judgment Day: Jungle Law,” hosted by Kansas City-based comedian Aaron Scarbrough at the Uptown Theater on August 1.
