Former Wichita State guard Fred VanVleet works out for Golden State
Fred VanVleet worked out for the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday. Courtesy of the Warriors, you can listen to his interview after the session.
“Any time you can get around some championship energy, it’s pretty amazing,” he said. “To get out to here to Oakland and be able to compete with some other talented guys is pretty fun.”
VanVleet said the workout consisted of ball-handling and shooting drills and games with the other players in the session. He said he expects to do from 12 to 20 workouts for NBA teams.
“It’s about the right opportunity and the right fit and, hopefully, somebody will give me a chance,” he said. “I feel confident that I’m an NBA player.”
VanVleet says he will work out in Houston on Wednesday and Philadelphia on Friday.
