Former Wichita State star Alex Harden starts second WNBA season with Phoenix Mercury
The Phoenix Mercury opens its WNBA season at 6:30 p.m. Saturday on ESPN at Minnesota. Former Wichita State star Alex Harden returns for a second season with the Mercury and is part of the WNBA’s 20th season with one of its most prominent franchises.
Last season, Harden played in 32 games as a rookie and averaged 2.1 points and 1.4 rebounds.
The Tulsa Shock moved to Dallas, renamed the Wings, so Harden’s closest visit to Wichita will be on June 21 and July 5.
