Wichita State’s downtown opponent moves into national rankings at No. 25

Utah moved into the Associated Press rankings at No. 25 on Monday.

The Utes (7-1) visit Intrust Bank Arena on Saturday (2:30 pm., ESPN2). They will be the first ranked non-conference opponent to play Wichita State in Wichita since Dec. 4, 2011, when the Shockers defeated No. 18 UNLV 89-70 at Koch Arena.

The Shockers play UNLV on Wednesday (8 p.m., ESPN2) at Koch Arena. The Rebels (7-1) received 40 votes in the AP poll on Monday after defeating then-No. 15 Oregon 80-69 last week.
