VanVleet’s tattoo honors deceased family members
Wichita State senior Fred VanVleet revealed his first tattoo on Monday at Wichita State’s media day, a half-sleeve on his left shoulder to honor his deceased father and grandmother.
“I’ve always wanted one and never had the right timing or money or whatever,” he said. “All of that finally added up right. I found a guy that I like. It’s a remembrance tattoo for my dad and then my grandmother passed last year, too, right before the Indiana game.”
VanVleet said the artwork took six hours over two sessions to complete.
