Australian center Isaac Humphries made it official on Thursday when he signed with Kentucky, according to every recruiting source.
Humphries visited Wichita State in the spring and, at one time, reportedly gave the Shockers serious consideration. That possibility sent fans, especially those who closely follow recruiting, into a frenzy. Spring turned into summer and as WSU’s 13 scholarships remained filled, it became less and less likely that Humphries would land at Koch Arena. At some point, Kentucky offered him a spot and, well, not many players turn down John Calipari.
In early August, reports rolled in that had Humphries reclassifying to the class of 2015 and committing to Big Blue Nation. On Thursday, he made it final.
