The NBA’s summer leagues are over for Wichita State players and they passed quietly for the most part.

Next summer should be a different story, when it’s reasonable to think Ron Baker and Fred VanVleet will join the Shocker contingent, which could include returners from 2015.

Cleanthony Early, as he should, got the most run of any Shocker. He averaged 23.2 minutes in five games for the Knicks in Las Vegas and averaged 10.4 points and 3.8 rebounds. It will be interesting to see what kind of role he can earn with the Knicks if he can stay healthy for his second season.

Darius Carter played in two games for Denver.

Tekele Cotton played in four games for Oklahoma City in Orlando.

A groin injury limited Toure Murry’s action for Washington to one game.

Nick Wiggins played in four games for Minnesota and one for the Jazz in Utah. He scored a high of 11 points for the T-Wolves in a Las Vegas game against Utah.
