Wichita State player named to Freshman All-America second team
Baseball American named Wichita State first baseman Greyson Jenista to its Freshman All-America second team on Monday.
Jenista, from Eudora, led WSU with a .326 batting average and also compiled a .471 slugging percentage and a .431 onbase percentage. He hit eight doubles and five home runs, driving in 32 runs and scoring 36.
He also earned Freshman All-American honors from Collegiate Baseball and co-Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year honors.
Jenista is playing for Cotuit (Mass.) in the Cape Cod League this summer, where he is hitting .122 in 13 games.
