Three Wichita State baseball players earn Freshman All-American honors

Wichita State’s Greyson Jenista, Alec Bohm and Dayton Dugas earned spots on the Freshman All-America team selected by Collegiate Baseball.

Jenista, a first baseman from Eudora, hit .326 with five home runs and earned co-Freshman of the Year honors in the Missouri Valley Conference. Bohm, a designated hitter from Omaha, hit .303 with six home runs and led the Shockers with 13 doubles.

Dugas, an outfielder from Lake Charles, La., hit .304 with four home runs and 11 doubles.

Eight first basemen, seven designated hitters and 28 outfielders were named to the team.
