Wichita State women’s golf team leads MVC Championships by seven shots
Wichita State’s Taryn Torgerson shot a second-round 69 to help the Shockers extend their lead in the Missouri Valley Conference Championships in Chicago.
WSU, the two-time defending champions, carded a 1-over-par 289 at Harborside International Golf Center total a 10-over 586. It leads Indiana State by seven strokes entering Tuesday’s final round.
Torgerson birdied six holes Monday and is tied with Bradley’s Ally Scaccia atop the leaderboard with a 143 over two rounds. WSU’s Gavrilla Ayra is in seventh place with a 147.
