Wichita State’s Rangie Bessard named honorable mention All-MVC
Wichita State sophomore forward Rangie Bessard earned honorable mention on the women’s basketball All-Missouri Valley Conference team on Wednesday.
Bessard, from Rosharon, Texas, averaged 15.5 points and 7.7 rebounds in 23 games.
Drake’s Sammie Bachrodt, from Kapaun Mount Carmel, was named to the All-Freshman team. She started 29 games and averaged 5.7 points and 5.3 rebounds.
Southern Illinois senior Dyana Pierre and Drake junior Lizzy Wendell were named to the All-MVC team for the third time.
Player of the Year and other individual awards are announced on Thursday.
