Wichita State is No. 25 in Monday’s Associated Press basketball poll, down four spots from last week.

It dropped to No. 24, falling two spots, in the USA Today coaches basketball poll.

The Shockers (17-6) remained in the rankings after Saturday’s 58-53 loss at Illinois State snapped a 12-game win streak. WSU plays at Drake on Tuesday.

Villanova is No. 1 in both polls. Kansas is No. 6 in both.

The poll is voted on by 32 NCAA Division I coaches, including Northern Iowa’s Ben Jacobson, Creighton’s Greg McDermott and Baylor’s Scott Drew.
