Wichita State center Bush Wamukota is off suspension and can play in Thursday’s game against Drake, coach Gregg Marshall said.

“Tom Bush is at my disposal,” he said in a text message.

Wamukota, a senior from Bungoma, Kenya, did not play in last week’s win over Nevada because of an academic issue. He is also battling a back injury that sometimes limits his mobility. He played in WSU’s 10 previous games, starting one, and averages 2.3 points and 3.6 rebounds.

The Shockers (6-5) open Missouri Valley Conference play against the Bulldogs (5-7) at 1 p.m. Thursday at Koch Arena.

The Shockers will also have freshman guard Ty Taylor available. He sat out the Nevada game with a shoulder injury.
