Wichita State matched with Colorado State in next season’s MWC-MVC Challenge
Wichita State will play at Colorado State next season in the Mountain West-Missouri Valley Challenge.
The Shockers make their first trip to Fort Collins since 1983 on Dec. 3, 2016. The Rams, coached by Larry Eustachy, are 7-5 this season, which includes an 84-78 win at Northern Iowa and Saturday’s 61-56 loss to Kansas State.
WSU is 4-1 in the challenge series, which resumed this season after running from 2009-12. The Shockers defeated UNLV 56-50 earlier this season at Koch Arena.
Next season, nine of the 10 games will take place on Dec. 3.
The Mountain West went 6-4 in this season’s challenge and is 28-17 overall vs. the MVC in challenge games.
