Frankamp’s time nears
Wichita State guard Conner Frankamp could play on Wednesday against UNLV. If not, he will debut against Utah on Dec. 12.
Frankamp, a transfer from Kansas, is completing his redshirt requirements and he can play as soon as exam grades are posted and NCAA paperwork is completed. He takes exams on Monday. WSU’s goal is to have the appropriate paperworked completed by Wednesday, associate athletic director Korey Torgerson said.
Worth noting
The Shockers defeated Saint Louis for the fourth straight time, third under the current series. The teams play again next season in Wichita … Sophomore center Rauno Nurger scored six points after scoring 15 last season against Saint Louis … WSU guard Ron Baker made 6 of 10 shots and scored 14 points, making him 19 of 27 in three games against the Billikens, 7 of 12 from three-point range. He averages 18 points … While WSU has won four in a row in the series, Saint Louis leads 41-22 … WSU ended its first three-game losing streak since 2013 and avoided its first four-game slide since the 2008-09 season … The Shockers improved to 16-3 on Dec. 5, its highest win percentage on a single day.
