Fire gutted Antoine Carr’s rental house in Houston on Monday, according to agent D.J. Fisher.

Carr recently moved from San Antonio to Houston and had not yet finalized his renters’ insurance, Fisher said in an email. The fire started in the dryer in the laundry room.

Fisher started a “House Fire Fund” for Carr on his agency’s website, definingsports.com.

Carr played at Heights High and Wichita State before starting a 16-year NBA career.
