WSU volleyball sweeps Bradley
Wichita State volleyball swept Bradley 25-16, 25-18, 25-10 on Saturday night in Peoria, Ill.
WSU never trailed in any set. The Shockers hit .412 for the match and finished with just four attack errors. Bradley was not credited with any blocks in the match.
WSU went ahead 5-2 in the first set and Bradley never got closer than three points. Mikaela Raudsepp ended the set with a kill. The Shockers scored the first four points in the second set, and after the Braves cut the margin to two WSU score five of the next six points and pulled away. The third set was tied 1-1, but WSU moved ahead 8-4 and steadily widened the margin.
Wichita State setter Emily Hiebert had 29 assists, three service aces and five kills on six swings. Raudsepp had 10 kills, and Katie Reilly had seven kills and hit .500.
The victory kept Wichita State (23-7, 14-2 MVC) in first place in the Missouri Valley Conference with two games left in the regular season. The Shockers willl play host to second-place Southern Illinois (22-7, 13-3) on Friday. A win for WSU would clinch the top seed in the Valley postseason tournament.
