Wichita State to meet Texas during 2015 baseball season
Wichita State’s first game against the University of Texas since the 1989 national championship game highlights the Shockers’ 2015 baseball schedule, released by the university Tuesday.
The Shockers will play at Texas on April 7. It’s the first regular-season meeting between the programs since 1982.
WSU opens with a three-game series at Sam Houston State in Texas on Feb. 13. After a stop at Oral Roberts on the way back to Wichita, the Shockers open at Eck Stadium on Feb. 20 against Texas State.
Home non-conference opponents include UC Santa Barbara, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Kansas State. WSU plays host to the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament May 19-23.
