Wichita State hired Ryne Stefankiewicz, a former graduate assistant at Auburn, as an assistant softball coach.
Stefankiewicz, from Omaha, replaces pitching coach Samantha Sheeley. He spent the two previous seasons at Auburn.
“The thing that we are most excited about is a fresh perspective,” WSU coach Kristi Bredbenner said in a news release. “He brings championship experience from Auburn. At the end of the day our girls are looking forward to his enthusiasm, his knowledge and a breath of fresh air in the bullpen.”
