Home games against Tennessee, Missouri highlight Wichita State’s women’s basketball schedule
Wichita State’s women’s basketball non-conference schedule features visits by Tennessee and Missouri and a game at Creighton.
Tennessee, which finished last season ranked No. 4, comes to Koch Arena on Dec. 11. WSU coach Jody Adams and assistant coach Bridgette Gordon are former Tennessee players. Last season, Tennessee defeated the Shockers 54-51 in the first game of a home-and-home series.
ESPN ranks Tennessee, coached by Holly Warlick, No. 3 in its preseason rankings.
Missouri plays at WSU on Nov. 18. The Shockers play at Creighton on Nov. 13 in their season-opening game.
WSU plays an exhibition game on Nov. 8 against Central Oklahoma and will play a second exhibition on Dec. 29 against Oklahoma Christian College.
The Shockers went 29-5 last season and made a third straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Missouri Valley Conference schedule has not been released.
